Rental terms

The same numbers everywhere on this site: age, licence, deposit, mileage. If you see different ones elsewhere, these are the right ones.

Driver and documents

From 23 years old with at least 3 years of driving experience. The same for sedans, crossovers, SUVs and minivans.
The passport you enter Kyrgyzstan with, plus both sides of your driving licence.
A licence is accepted if the data is in Latin script or it has an English side. An International Driving Permit or a notarised translation is recommended — traffic police may ask for it.
Only a person named in the contract may drive. Otherwise the insurance does not apply.

Rental always requires a deposit: $300 for sedans, standard cars and FWD crossovers; $500 for 4x4 SUVs, minivans and higher-class cars; up to $1,000 for premium models (RAM 1500).
The deposit is paid separately from the rental fee, usually in cash — dollars, euros, som or another agreed currency.
A booking is confirmed with a $100 prepayment. It counts towards the deposit and is not an extra charge.
The deposit is returned after the inspection. For a night return — the next working day. $100 is held for up to 30 days to check traffic fines; with no fines the money comes back.

All cars carry OSAGO and CASCO with a deductible. The deductible normally equals the deposit: with a $500 deposit your exposure in an insured event is capped at $500, the rest is covered by the insurer.
Not covered: driving under the influence, gross traffic violations and speeding, off-road driving, water crossings, driving onto beaches, leaving Kyrgyzstan and prohibited routes.
In an accident — contact the company immediately and call the traffic police or a claims adjuster. Without an official record the case may not be recognised as insured.

300 km per day included, accumulated over the whole term: 5 days means 1,500 km. Excess mileage is 30 som per kilometre. Unlimited mileage is not part of the standard terms; it can be agreed individually.
The car is handed over with a full tank and returned full. Fuel: AI-92, AI-95, diesel.
If the car comes back dirty, a wash is charged: 2,500 som for an SUV, crossover or minivan, 2,000 som for a sedan.

Delivery in Bishkek: 1,700 som from 08:00 to 23:00, 2,200 som from 23:00 to 08:00. Manas airport: 4,500 and 5,000 som respectively.
Minimum rental term — 24 hours. Up to an hour late costs 1,000 som; beyond three hours an extra day may be charged. Return time can be moved in advance through a manager.
A one-way return in another city is possible by prior arrangement — the price depends on the city, date and logistics.
2–3 hours are reserved between rentals for inspection, washing and preparation.

Driving is allowed on public roads only.
Leaving Kyrgyzstan is prohibited — Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and elsewhere.
Altyn-Arashan: the car takes you to Karakol or Ak-Suu, from there it is local transport, horses or hiking.
Beaches, water crossings, mountain trails and any off-road driving are not covered by insurance.

Cash — som and US dollars at the office on pickup. Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Elcart. Foreign cards sometimes fail — keep a backup method.
Bank transfer — up to 3 working days, details after the booking is confirmed, order number in the payment reference. E-wallets: Elsom, Balance.kg.
For legal entities — bank transfer, invoice and closing documents; the deposit is agreed individually.
